Care

Caring for Your Aerial Rig

Your aerial rig is built to be strong, durable and ready for plenty of aerial adventures β€” but like all aerial equipment, a little care goes a long way.

Check it regularly
Before each use, give your rig a quick visual check. Look over all connection points, bolts, pins, welds and components for signs of wear, damage, movement or corrosion. If something doesn’t look or feel right, stop using the rig until it has been properly checked.

Keep it dry when you can
While your rig is designed for outdoor use, prolonged exposure to rain, moisture and coastal conditions can increase the chance of corrosion. Keeping your rig dry and protected when not in use will help extend its life.

Keep it clean
Dirt, sand, salt and moisture can build up over time. Wipe your rig down as needed, paying particular attention to connection points and areas where components meet.

Never ignore damage
Do not use your rig if something doesn't look right. Its always best to get it checked and never put yourslef at risk.

Where Will Your Rig Take You?

FAQ's

  • Think about where you’ll use it, how much space you have, the height you need and the type of aerial you love to do. Our rigs are designed for different spaces and adventures, so compare the height, footprint and features of each. Still unsure? Get in touch, we’re aerialists too and are always happy to help you choose.

  • If you have the space, we recommend the 1.4m option! The extra width helps you make the most of your rig’s height by giving you more room away from the poles and ropes... especially helpful for bigger movements, straight legs and getting extra height for drops. It also gives you extra space for extended shapes on apparatus like lyra, which can make a big difference if you’re choosing one of our lower rig heights. More room = more freedom to fly! πŸ’•

  • Yes! Many of our customers leave their rigs set up permanently in their yards. We recommend taking your rig down periodically to inspect for wear, give it a good clean and carry out any maintenance needed. Always bring your aerial apparatus inside when not in use to protect it from sun, rain and weather... it’ll help keep your gear flying for longer! β˜€οΈπŸŒ§οΈπŸ’•

  • Think of your rig as the blank canvas for your aerial adventures! πŸŽͺ✨ Our rigs are sold as rig only, so you can build your dream setup your way. Add your choice of pulley system, rigging hardware, favourite apparatus and crash mat. Silks, lyra, hammock… Why choose just one? πŸ˜‰

  • Absolutely! Just grab some friends and bring on the adventures! πŸ’ͺπŸŽͺ

We recommend 3 adults for setup: two to build and raise the legs, and one to support the rig using the rope. Once you’re familiar with the system, setup takes just 5–10 minutes. No tools required… just a little muscle! πŸ˜‚

Your rig comes with setup instructions, plus you can follow along with our setup video on YouTube. Designed to be portable, it’s perfect for gigs, photoshoots and aerial adventures... or you can set it up at home and let it stay put.

Sunshine Coast local? We also offer professional delivery and setup for $250 so we can do the heavy lifting for you! πŸ’•

  • Absolutely! Our rigs are suitable for everyone, from brand-new aerialists finding their wings to experienced performers chasing bigger skills and new adventures. πŸ’• Whether it’s your first backyard setup, your new favourite training space or coming along for gigs and photoshoots, your rig can grow right alongside your aerial journey.

Just remember to train safely within your skill level, use correct rigging and load rated aerial hardware β€” have appropriate supervision or a training buddy nearby, and always use a crash mat. Trust us, everyone loves a good crash mat… even the family dog will claim it as their new favourite bed. πŸ˜‚πŸΆ

More space to train, play, create and fly β€” whatever stage of your aerial adventure you’re at!

  • Our rigs are made by aerialists, for aerialists, so we know you don’t want to be limited to just one apparatus! πŸŽͺπŸ’•

They’re designed for spinning aerial apparatus β€” think silks, lyra, hammock, dance trapeze, aerial net, cube, rope, sphere, bubbles… you name it, this rig is ready for it! πŸ€Έβ€β™€οΈβœ¨ Switch it up, try something new and make your rig your own.

Just remember, our rigs are designed for static, spinning aerial use, not swinging. For every adventure, make sure both your aerial apparatus and rigging hardware are properly tested and rated for aerial use β€” because every part of your setup matters when you’re flying! πŸ’•πŸŽͺ

  • Because we’re not just selling aerial rigs β€” we actually fly on them! πŸŽͺπŸ’•

Our rigs are made by aerialists, for aerialists, designed from real experience training, teaching, performing and taking aerial adventures everywhere we can.

They’re proudly Australian made πŸ‡¦πŸ‡Ί by leaders in the steel industry, using quality materials and with strength, safety and functionality at the heart of every design.

We’ve thought about the things aerialists actually care about β€” usable height, plenty of space to move, easy apparatus changes, simple setup and the freedom to take your aerials beyond the studio.

And when you buy from Aerial Nonsense, you’re not on your own. We know our rigs, we use our rigs, and we’re always here to answer your questions.

Built strong. Made local. Designed to fly. Ready for your next adventure. πŸ’ͺ🦍✨
